“Watch: Hardik Pandya’s ‘Thor Moment’ at Wankhede Leaves Jasprit Bumrah in Splits”

On July 4, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai buzzed with excitement as Team India celebrated their historic second T20 World Cup triumph with a massive crowd of enthusiastic fans. Following a victory parade along Marine Drive, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) honored all the team members at the iconic venue.

Cricket stars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya addressed the jubilant crowd, sharing their unforgettable experiences from the victorious T20 World Cup campaign. The team then took a victory lap around the field, proudly waving the Indian flag as fans passionately chanted “Vande Mataram.” Amidst this celebratory atmosphere, the players joined the fans in singing “Maa Tujhe Salaam,” relishing the goosebumps-inducing moment.

During the victory lap, Hardik Pandya, who was leading the charge, experienced a humorous incident that delighted the crowd. As Pandya encouraged the fans with his arms outstretched, a T-shirt suddenly flew from the stands and landed directly on his right hand. With a smile, Pandya casually dropped the T-shirt and continued the lap. Jasprit Bumrah, who was right behind Pandya, witnessed the amusing scene and burst into laughter, a moment that was captured on camera.

A fan later shared the footage on X, captioning it, “Hardik caught someone’s T-shirt and the way Bumrah is dying of laughter.” The video quickly went viral, with fans commenting on the hilarious moment. One fan admitted, “Bro, I am watching it on replay and dying of laughter,” while another praised the perfect timing of the T-shirt throw. A third viewer humorously dubbed it a “Thor moment” for Pandya.

Both Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah played pivotal roles in India’s triumphant T20 World Cup campaign. Bumrah, named Player of the Tournament, took 15 wickets in 8 matches, while Pandya’s all-round performance, including bowling the decisive last over in the final against South Africa, was instrumental in securing the title.
