PM Modi Shares Heartfelt Message for Ravindra Jadeja on His Retirement, Wishes Him Success in Future Endeavors

Honourable Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt wishes to Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja following the latter’s retirement from T20I cricket in the wake of India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. In a message posted on his official ‘X’ account on Sunday, June 30, just a few hours after Jadeja’s announcement, PM Modi praised Jadeja’s outstanding contributions to Indian cricket.

He wrote, “Dear Ravindra Jadeja, you have performed exceptionally as an all-rounder. Cricket lovers admire your stylish stroke play, spin, and superb fielding. Thank you for the enthralling T20 performances over the years. My best wishes for your endeavors ahead.”

PM Modi has consistently shown his support for Indian athletes across various sports, maintaining close ties with the Indian Cricket Team. Known for his active engagement with the team’s achievements and challenges, he has often conveyed his encouragement and solidarity.

This was evident even when India lost the ODI World Cup 2023 Final to Australia in Ahmedabad, where he consoled the team in the dressing room.

Following India’s triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, Jadeja’s retirement follows the earlier announcements from cricket legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, both of whom also received special messages from PM Modi acknowledging their illustrious careers and contributions to the sport.
