“Mira Rajput Criticized for Having Man Hold Her Umbrella During Mumbai Rains: ‘Is She a Princess?'”

Mira Rajput, the wife of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, recently faced intense criticism after a video surfaced online showing a man holding an umbrella for her during a rainy day in Mumbai. The footage, which quickly went viral, depicts Mira exiting a building with a phone in one hand and a mug in the other while a man walked behind her, shielding her from the rain with an umbrella.

Controversy erupted when Mira noticed the paparazzi and was seen instructing the man to step aside. She then smiled at the photographers and continued walking unassisted. This incident sparked outrage among netizens, who accused Mira of dismissing the man only because of the paparazzi’s presence.

They questioned her inability to hold her own umbrella, with comments like “Is she a princess of somewhere?” and “Even Princess Kate Middleton holds her umbrella.” One user remarked, “You have hands to hold an umbrella. Your drink can wait.” Amidst the backlash, it was noted that Mira recently launched her own skincare brand, an endeavor for which her husband Shahid Kapoor expressed immense pride.

In a heartfelt message, Shahid praised Mira’s dedication and hard work, stating, “I am so proud of you baby. You have worked tirelessly and with quiet belief and today the dream has come true. I can’t express in words how proud I am of you. Waiting for my hamper so I can pamper me. You have always told me what products to use for my skin so not much has changed.”

Shahid and Mira, who have a significant 13-year age gap, met through their families and celebrated their marriage in a grand ceremony on July 7, 2015. Despite their age difference, the couple remains deeply in love and supportive of each other’s endeavors.
